System Requirements

Smart-device

DSApp currently requires a device running an Android™ OS or Apple® iOS™ to run its services. Users require only standard experience and tools to manage in a smart device environment.

We recommend the following configuration as optimum for the client device to run DSApp:

  • OS: Android™0.1 or later, iOS™ 8.0 or later.
  • CPU: 1.3Ghz or higher CPU speed, minimum 2 Cores.
  • Memory: 1GB main memory.
  • Storage: 40MB of storage for the application, additional storage will be required depending on the size of the .DSI files stored for uploading to FTP Server.
  • Network: Network connectivity (cabled or wireless) between the device and the FTP Server location, and may be via the internet. Access rights to FTP Server for uploading .DSI data files.

 For the best DSApp experience, it is recommended that the optimal system requirements are met.

 

FTP SERVER

DSApp requires an FTP Server with appropriate access rights enabled to allow DSApp access to the server.

 We recommend the following configuration as optimum for the FTP Server:

  • Storage: This will be dependant upon your organisations requirements. The average .DSI file size not containing images is approximately 130KB.
  • Network: Network connectivity (cabled or wireless) with access rights enabling DSApp to connect to the server either via the local network or through the internet.
  • User: FTP Username and password authentication is handled by the FTP Server.
