Set Configurations

To set DSApp configurations from DSApp you will be required to:

  1. Tap the Config tab button on the Home
    1. Then tap either:
      1. New Configuration to create a new configuration.
      2. Edit Configuration to edit the settings of the current configuration.
    2. You will then verify or set:
      1. The connection settings;
      2. The linked .csv files;
      3. The page layout of your configurations;
      4. The name of your configuration;

prior to saving.

 

Modify Configuration Settings

  1. On the Settings page, tap the
  2. If you wish to enter a new server for this configuration, or have previously entered an incorrect one, you can tap the SERVER NAME field to enter the server name, user name and password again.
  3. You can change the Refresh rate of the Configuration by selecting Manual or Automatic as required.
    1. If you select Automatic, you can change the frequency in minutes which the DSApp Report is updated by pressing either the plus or minus buttons.
  4. If you wish to enter a new DSApp Report file name, or have previously entered an incorrect one, you can tap the DSAPP REPORT field to bring up the on-screen keyboard.
    1. Tap DOWNLOAD DSAPP REPORT to verify the file.
  5. If you wish to enter a new Datasheet file, tap in the DSAPP DATASHEET file field and modify as required.
    1. Tap DOWNLOAD DATASHEET to verify the file.
  6. Adjust the View Options for Data Entry and Datasheet as required.
  7. Once the DSApp Report is downloaded, the viewable pages can also be modified (see also Set Pages).
  8. Tap in the SAVE AS OR UPDATE DSAPP CONFIGURATION You can elect to either UPDATE that configuration as required or SAVE AS a new configuration with a different name.
    1. If you select SAVE AS, the CONFIGURATION NAME field will appear. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the name of your configuration.
    2. If you select UPDATE, the configuration will be overwritten.
  9. Then, tap the SAVE CONFIGURATION.

 

Modify Pages

You can quickly reset viewable pages and menus, and remap the standard and sample code variables.

  1. Tap MODIFY VIEWABLE PAGES. The current selection of Tabs and Pages is shown.
  2. Adjust the menu displays for Data Entry and Datasheet as required.
  3. Tap the button(s) under DSAPP PAGE SELECTION to specify the pages required.
  4. If SAMPLING is selected, change the mapped Variable.
  5. If VARIABLE DATA is selected, change the DATASIGHT STANDARD as required.
  6. Tap in the SAVE AS OR UPDATE DSAPP CONFIGURATION You can elect to either UPDATE that configuration as required or SAVE AS a new configuration with a different name.
    1. If you select SAVE AS, the CONFIGURATION NAME field will appear. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the name of your configuration.
    2. If you select UPDATE, the configuration will be overwritten.
  7. Then, tap the SAVE CONFIGURATION.
