Refresh Data

Refresh Data

It is recommended, prior to leaving for the field, that you check the FTP connection is working and refresh the DataSight data being supplied in your linked files.

The name of the linked DSApp Report is displayed on the Collect tab together with the date and time the file was last updated on the smart device.

The name of the linked Datasheet is displayed on the View tab, also with the date and time of it's last update.

Both tabs also show the refresh rate of these files as set in the Configuration.  This can be either Auto (## mins) or Manual Update.

Refresh DSApp Report or Datasheet file

  1. On the Home page, tap the CONFIGURATION field to display the list of available configurations.
  2. Tap the .cfg configuration file to select it and load its settings.
  3. Tap either the Collect or View as required.
  4. Tap the Update button to test the connection between DSApp and the FTP Server, and refresh the selected file stored on the device.
    1. If the button turns green, then the FTP Server connection settings are correct. DSApp was able to connect to the server and update the locally stored file on your device.
    2. If the button turns orange, DSApp was unable to access and download the file. Check your network connectivity and FTP Server access. DSApp will then revert to the last file downloaded for that DSApp Configuration.

Note

To modify the receipted data, refer to Link Files.
