Parallels Desktop Client - Uploading & Downloading Files
Parallels Desktop Client User Interface
Once you have logged in to the Parallels Desktop Client, the user interface will be displayed.
The user interface consists of:
- Connections Panel located on the left-hand-side (shown in red); and
- DataSight Resources located on the right-hand-side (shown in green).

Uploading / Downloading Files
A DataSight resource named Client Seat Folder has been made available to allow upload and download of files easier when using the Parallels Desktop Client.
To upload a file:
- Double-click on the Client Seat Folder icon. A File Explorer window will open showing the files and folders located on the DataSight Cloud Server.

Click the Start menu on your local computer and open File Explorer and then navigate to and select the file(s) you would like to upload.
- Right-click your files and select Copy from the right-click content menu.
- Within the Client Seat Folder File Explorer window, navigate to where you would like to save your file(s).
- Right-click in the Client Seat Folder File Explorer window and select Paste from the right-click context menu.
- Your file(s) are now uploaded to the DataSight Cloud server.
To download a file:
- Double-click on the Client Seat Folder icon. A File Explorer window will open showing the files and folders located on the DataSight Cloud Server.
- Within the Client Seat Folder File Explorer window, navigate to and select the file(s) you would like to download.
- Right-click your files and select Copy from the right-click content menu.
- Click the Start menu on your local computer and open File Explorer and then navigate to where you would like to save your file(s).
- Right-click in the File Explorer window on your local computer and select Paste from the right-click context menu.
- Your file(s) are now downloaded to your local computer.
