Access to DataSight Cloud resources is provided in two ways. The first is by navigating to https://datasight.cloud in a web browser and logging in with one of your organisations Client Seat Accounts. Upon successful login, you will be provided with two DataSight Cloud resources, the DataSight application icon, and the Client Seat Folder icon. Double-click the DataSight application icon to launch DataSight where you will enter your individual SQL User Account credentials in the Connect to Database window.
The second way is by installing the Parallels Client on your device. There are versions available for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android and Chrome (Download Parallels Client, 2X RDP Client | Parallels RAS).
For Windows installations, a download page is provided at DataSight Cloud - Download Parallels Client, as well as a link to download a configuration file which will configure the Parallels Client with the settings required to connect to DataSight Cloud.
Once you have Downloaded and installed the client, click the Configure button on the download page of the website. You will be prompted to enter the username and password for one of your organisation's Client Seat Accounts. Upon successful login, you will be provided with two DataSight Cloud resources, the DataSight application icon, and the Client Seat Folder icon. Double-click the DataSight application icon to launch DataSight where you will enter your individual SQL User Account credentials in the Connect to Database window.
The Parallels Client requires the ports listed in the table below to be open through your firewall. For increased security, limiting external access to ports 3389 & 29292 to the *.datasight.cloud domain is recommended.
Please see your IT Department or your firewall manuals for configuring your firewall settings.
