Navigation Menu

Once your MDE Template is selected, the Navigation Menu can be used to access the Data Collection pages specified in the configuration.

The navigation menu is located at the top left of the screen and allows you to navigate to a range of Collect data pages.

In Android and iOS the navigation menu are designated with the following icon, mceclip0.png.

Tap the navigation menu to open. DSApp Data Collection pages are directly accessed from the navigation menu.

NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons are always located at the bottom of the data entry pages. These buttons allow you to move forwards and backwards between pages.

 

Each DSApp Data Entry Page can be used as follows:

Functionality

HOME PAGE

The Home page is the first screen shown when DSApp is opened.

You should select Start page is you wish to change your MDE Template.

SAFETY

Enter information relating to your site.

The default DSApp Variable and Variable Group allows for collecting:

  • safety;
  • hazard identification; and
  • risk assessment information.

SAMPLING

Collect samples and record the sample codes:

  • Manual Entry allows you to manually enter a Sample Code for the sample collected.
  • Scan QR Code (Camera or Bluetooth options) allow you to scan QR codes, which DSApp will use to generate the Sample Code for the collected sample.

VARIABLE DATA

Undertake a site arrival check and capture the following information:

PERSON - the person who is entering the data.

CHECKLIST - ON ARRIVAL - a checklist to capture tasks completed upon arrival at a site.

EQUIPMENT - the equipment used to capture the data (if any).

FLAG - the flags used to qualify the data (if any).

VALUES - the values of displayed variables.

UNDERTAKE CALIBRATION - an option allowing navigation to the Equipment Calibration page.

EQUIPMENT CALIBRATION

Collect calibration information for the equipment that was selected on the DATA ENTRY page.

CONSTRUCTION DETAILS

Record a construction detail, including a photo, for a given site.

ON DEPARTURE

Check and record site conditions on departure.

FILE MANAGER

Upload DSI files to the FTP Server, or MOVE the file to the "Downloads" folder on the smart device (to send via alternate methods), or DELETE the file from the smart device.  See also DSI Files.
