Manage Configurations

Configuration files can be managed and modified from the Configuration page. To enter the Configuration page;

  • Select the desired configuration on the Home page, and then tap the Config

 Import a Configuration

Configurations are able to be transferred between devices to ensure consistency across your field programs or to simply provide the first Default DSApp Configuration for testing on your DSApp device.

  1. Launch DSApp on your smart-device, DSApp opens and the Home page is displayed.
  2. Tap the Config tab on the Home page to open the Configurations page.
  3. Tap the Select File to Import button, navigate to the location where the DSApp Configuration File is stored, and then tap the file to import it.
  4. Tap OK on the message dialog confirming that the selected configuration file has been imported successfully.
  5. The imported configuration file is now available for selected in the Configuration drop-down menu on the Home page.

 

Download a Configuration

  1. Launch DSApp on your smart-device, DSApp opens and the Home page is displayed.
  2. Tap the Config tab on the Home page to open the Configurations page.
  3. Swipe right on a DSApp Configuration File to access and then tap the Download button next to the name of the configuration file you wish to download.
  4. Tap OK on the confirmation dialog which confirms that the configuration file has been downloaded to your device. Take note of the download location.
    1. On Android devices, the DSApp Configuration File is downloaded to '/storage/emulated/0/Download/'.
    2. On Apple devices, the DSApp Configuration File is downloaded to ''.
  5. You can now transfer the configuration file to another device, or make the DSApp Configuration File available to another DSApp user via email, file share or other method (such as saving it in the Documents section in DataSight).

 

Delete a Configuration

  1. Launch DSApp on your smart-device, DSApp opens and the Home page is displayed.
  2. If the DSApp configuration you wish to remove is currently selected, tap to expand and select another configuration from the Configuration drop-down list.
  3. Tap the Config tab on the Home page to open the Configurations page.
  4. Swipe left on a DSApp Configuration File to access and then tap the Delete button next to the name of the configuration file you wish to remove.
  5. Tap DELETE on the confirmation dialog to confirm removal of the DSApp Configuration File, or tap CANCEL.

Note

You cannot delete the configuration that is currently loaded.

 

Uncommitted Data

To cleanse all the temporary files that you have within the Collection pages:

  1. Navigate to the Configurations page. Scroll to the Remove All Uncommitted Data
  2. A confirmation dialogue appears, asking you to confirm the deletion. Tap Yes to confirm or Cancel for No.
