License Already Installed - New Windows User Profile

Version(s) affected: DataSight 3.0 onwards

Issue: When running DataSight for the first time on a newly created Windows User Profile, DataSight requests the DataSight license details to be entered, despite prior authentication of the computer with a valid license.

Resolution: 

The below steps are only required to be performed once, on a new Windows User Profile.

Standard User License

  1. Open DataSight.
  2. Enter the DataSight database connection details and click Connect.
  3. Select Standard User and click OK. DataSight will display a message stating that the license is already installed.
  4. Click Cancel.
  5. DataSight will open and connect to your DataSight database.

Concurrent User License

  1. Open DataSight.
  2. Enter the DataSight database connection details and click Connect.
  3. Select Concurrent User.
  4. Enter the license Server Address and Port number and Click OK.
  5. DataSight will open and connect to your DataSight database.
