Google Map View

Valid geographical information should be entered into your level 3 properties (via DataSight). If this information is not present in the database, the level 3's location will default to 0,0 (on the equator, south of Ghana).  You can view monitoring site locations in a Google Map panel or pop-up browser window. The map pin pop-up properties include a link back to station data.

From the Station Table

  1. Open a desired Station Table.
  2. To view the Level 3's location in Google Maps, click View Map. A pop-up window with the map will appear.
  3. For more information, hover your cursor over the pin or click on the pin.

From the Data List

  • Click a Level 2 name in the Data List to view the locations of all sites under a Level 2.

You can view graphs of all variables that have been selected for display alongside the map. Depending upon whether you have implemented standards in your database, those data points which exceed standard maximum and/or minimum values are now shown in red on the graph.

The pin colour of the site locality on the map may also change. Once a data point has exceeded the standard limits, you can set the time frame over which you wish the pin to assume the colour red, as if alarmed. If no further measurements exceed the standard by the end of the time period, then the pin will reset to blue.
