The FILE MANAGER page displays a list of DSI (DataSight Input) files for the configuration selected on the Home page.
The list shows:
- The FILE NAME of the file.
- The DATE and TIME the file was created.
- The ACTION drop-down list (FTP is selected by default) for selecting what action to take with the .DSI file; and
- The GO button to perform the ACTION selected.
The local storage location of the files on your device is shown at the top of the Page (The files are stored in ....).
Upload a DSI File
-
To upload a file to your FTP Server, ensure that FTP is selected from the drop-down list in the ACTION DESIRED column.
-
Tap the GO button in the DO ACTION column.
- If the background of the file name turns green, than the upload was successful.
- If the background of the file name turns red, DSApp will display an error message informing you what the issue was in order to resolve it.
Delete a DSI File
You may need to delete your DSApp files periodically to ensure you have sufficient space on your device to save new DSI files.
-
Tap the ACTION drop-down list to the right of the file you wish to delete and select DELETE.
-
Tap the GO button in the DO ACTION column to delete the selected .DSI file.
- DSApp will prompt you with a dialogue asking you to confirm the delete action.
-
Tap Yes to delete or No to cancel the action.
Move a DSI File
If you are unable to connect to the internet and your FTP Server, you can move the .DSI file to the device's Downloads folder. This will allow you to copy the file from the smart device using other means, rather than uploading via FTP.
-
Tap the ACTION drop-down list to the right of the file you wish to move and select MOVE.
-
Tap the GO button in the DO ACTION column to move the selected .DSI file.
- DSApp will prompt you with a dialogue asking you to confirm the move action.
-
Tap Yes to move or No to cancel the action.
Note
|
ONLY the .DSI files for the configuration selected on the START PAGE are displayed in the FILE MANAGER.
Once a .DSI file has been moved to the Downloads folder, you can no longer upload the file via the FTP upload action.
If you wish to both upload the file via FTP and move the file, you will need to perform the FTP upload action BEFORE moving the file.

Amend a DSI File
DSApp allows you to make changes to a DSI file, provided the file has not been uploaded, deleted or moved.
-
Tap the desired ACTION drop-down list to the right of the file you wish to alter and select AMEND.
-
Tap the GO button under DO ACTION column to load the selected .DSI file for making changes. DSApp will display a message informing you that the action has been completed.
-
Tap the CANCEL button to dismiss the message.
- Using the Navigation menu, navigate to the page you wish to make adjustments to.
-
Make adjustments to the entered data as required, ensuring that you tap NEXT to save the changes.
- Proceed through the remaining pages and save your updated DSI file, which will now be displayed at the top of the list in File Manager.
