Equipment Calibration Page

You can capture the calibration of equipment specified on the Variable Data page. Calibrations allow you to determine whether equipment is recording the correct value, or if it may need to be adjusted.

Record a Calibration

  1. Use CALIBRATION DATE to enter the date of your calibration.
    1. The date is pre-populated with the device's current date.
    2. Tap CALIBRATION DATE to display the calendar dialogue to change the date of the calibration.
    3. Tap the appropriate date to select it.
  2. Use NEXT CALIBRATION DATE to enter the next scheduled calibration date for the
    1. The date is pre-populated with the day after the device's current date.
    2. Tap NEXT CALIBRATION DATE to display the calendar dialogue allowing you to select the date the EQUIPMENT is to be re-calibrated.
    3. Tap the appropriate date to select it.
  3. VARIABLES, SITE VALUE, VALUE and % DIFF allow for capturing differences in Variable values recorded on site (SITE VALUE) versus expected values (CAL. VALUE), and displays the difference between the two as a percentage (% DIFF).
    1. Underneath SITE VALUE is displayed the list of Variables available (as determined by the DataSight MDE Template selected on the Start page) for recording values against.
    2. The VARIABLE NAME field is for entering the measurement as recorded by the equipment at site.
    3. VALUE is for entering the measurement as recorded by the secondary equipment, used to undertake the calibration.
    4. % DIFFERENCE will be automatically calculated by DSApp using the formula:
      • % DIFFERENCE equals (( VALUE minus SITE VALUE) divided by CAL. VALUE) multiplied by 100.
      • Use this value to determine whether the difference in measured values are acceptable, or if the equipment requires adjustment.
    5. Tap NEXT to proceed to the next page as determined by your DSApp Configuration.
      • If the background of the NEXT button turns red, then one of the above items have not been entered correctly. Please review your entries and try again.
