The following are generic instructions for the installation and registration of DataSight components. Please refer to articles on installation of each component for more specific details.
Download DataSight component files
Upon purchase of DataSight, you will receive license codes and links to download the DataSight Suite installation files in a deployment email. This email will be sent to the nominated person of contact in your organisation. The components that will be supplied are DataSight client files, for installation on the end-user(s) computer(s), DataSight Administrator and DataSight Service Manager. Before installing and registering, the files must be downloaded to the appropriate computer(s) or server(s) on which they will be licensed. The license codes should be ready for reference when required at the authentication stage.
Install DataSight components
Launch the DataSight component installer by double clicking on the downloaded .exe DataSight component file and the installation wizard will guide you through the installation process.
Register your License
The license codes supplied in the deployment email will be required to license and authenticate your DataSight installation. Authentication is the process of verifying the DataSight license key, and licensing it to run on your specific computer. Authentication cannot occur if the license key is invalid, or if the computer is disconnected from the Internet. Offline authentication is possible via email, but will take time.
In order to install and register DataSight components, you must have Administrator Rights on the local computer.
