The DataSight Administrator interface is an intuitive, user friendly management tool designed with a familiar Windows interface. This chapter provides an overview of interface layout, and commonly used mouse functions. A pointing device such as mouse, is required by DataSight Administrator to make selections (by clicking on an item). With the following simple examples, you can try the DataSight Administrator interface for yourself.

Example 1: Change the position of DataSight Administrator window

1. Drag your mouse pointer to the top of DataSight Administrator.
2. Click and hold.
3. Move your mouse to a desired position and drop to place DataSight Administrator window there.

Example 2: Display the contents of a Minimised window

• Click the Maximise

On the DataSight Administrator window, you will find the following:

• Menu Panel

All functions of DataSight Administrator can be accessed from the Menu Panel.

• Main Panel

The main panel displays DataSight database data and views related to the connected Microsoft SQl Server.  Various administrative actions on DataSight Administrator are undertaken from the Main Panel.

• Status Bar

The status bar displays the name of the user and the server currently open at the bottom left of DataSight Administrator window.
