Connections

Connect to a database

  1. In the Configuration Group on the Service Manager Ribbon, click Connections. The Connections window will open in the main panel.
  2. Click Add New and wait for a period while the Create Connection window is opened.
  3. Enter the details for the:
  • Server
  • Username (Note: this is your SQL Server username and password)
  • Password
  • Click Populate Database to load applicable databases for the chosen server if required.
  1. Click Save.
  2. The database connection will be shown as Active by default in the Connections window. Click the Active Check Box to toggle between Active or Inactive.
  3. Click Save to save your connection configurations.

 

Add another database connection

  1. Click Add New and wait for the connection window to open.
  2. Configure the database settings as described above. You cannot connect to the same database twice.

 

Delete a database connection

  1. Highlight your database connection in the Connections window list.
  2. Click Remove to delete the database connection. You will not be prompted at this step, so ensure you have the correct database connection row highlighted.
